What we started with
A one-piece fiberglass insert, a framed door and a floor pan that had reached the end of its life.

Back to the studs
The insert comes out, the walls open up and the subfloor gets checked before anything new goes in.

Plumbing reset
New drain line and valve body set to the height the finished shower actually needs, not where the old one sat.

Framing and blocking
Blocking goes in for the niche, the bench and the glass so every fixing lands in solid timber.

Waterproof, then tile
The pan and walls are waterproofed, then the layout gets dry fit before a single piece is set.

Niche and grout lines
The niche is centred on the wall and the courses run level through it, which is the part people notice for years.

Valves and heads
Rain head, hand shower and the mixing valves go on once the tile is set and sealed.

The half wall cap
Capped, sloped and sealed so water runs back into the shower and the glass has a flat seat.

Glass, clean, walkthrough
Frameless glass goes in last. Then we clean the room and walk it with you before final payment.

Rocco’s who did my bathroom was amazing and the work he did was perfection which I have found these days is hard to find.
